When one of the old men is murdered after talking to Cate, Sheriff Ben Hightower and Mitch become concerned for Cates safety. Cate has clairvoyent dreams and dreamed of the murder of the executed men. In this dream she saw killers. Cate befriends Essie Gray Eagle, the town fortune teller and together they team up to solve the mystery of the bones. But when bodies start dropping like flies Cate and Ben realize the killers are desperate. And when the dead start showing up both Cate and Essie realize the dead will be the ones to exact justice.
